K-HGW

Wired Handgrip.

Many Boom Pole users prefer the old reliable soft cloth covered cable at the microphone end of the pole. This cable certainly helps isolate cable noise from the microphone. The draw back is that some system is required to connect the main cable XLR to the cloth covered pig tail. Some users use a large plastic wood grained injection molded pistol grip with an XLR holder to achieve this connection. There are myriads of clamping devices and holders to keep the two XLRs from banging into the pole. The favorite one is Gaffer tape.

m.klemme technology, corp. makes the K-HGW. This is our answer to the hand grip, or pistol grip at the end of the pole problem. The K-HGW consists of a K-Tek boom pole head, six inches of K-Tek boom pole graphite covered with foam, and a male XLR connecter with two female 3/8x16 mounting threads. The grip is internally wired with soft cloth covered quiet cable fitted with the K-Tek short profile Female XLR microphone connecter.

The K-HGW looks good on the end of the pole. It gives six inches more reach and hardly weighs anything. In addition it mechanically isolates the pole from the mount and provides the soft cloth covered wire pig tail. It is a good hand grip too.

K-HG Hand Grip: The K-HGHand Grips can be used with either mount to hand hold the system and easily attach to a pole or stand. It is not a big clunky “Pistol Grip” but rather a foam covered graphite tube with a K-Tek pole head and a threaded base. The Hand Grip weighs only 2.7 ounces and doesn’t look silly at the end of a boom pole.     $65.00
K-HGW Hand Grip Wired: The K-HGW is wired with soft cloth covered cable for maximum noise isolation.     $100.00
