K-Tek's boom poles are incredibly lightweight and stood up to taking a serious beating, traveling or in the extreme cold and windy conditions we faced while documenting an expedition to Vinson Massif, the highest peak in Antarctica.

The shooting conditions required a great deal of balance between quality, durability, weight and an array of other demanding factors. K-Tek's equipment has served me well before, but wind and cold were a concern.
